I am a photographer in Bloomington, Indiana  home to the main campus of Indiana University and a thriving, eclectic arts community.

I photograph performing arts for the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. I have also freelanced for Rewind, Spirit of '68 Promotions, the Bloomington Visitors Center, Bloomington Area Music, Lotus Festival, and The Word GLBT newspaper.

A night photograph I made of the Buskirk was used as the cover of the 2011 Bloomington Visitors Guide. Several of my photos are downtown on city calendars.

In contrast to no-flash stage photography, I also create portraits with portable studio lights. I attended the Flash Bus lighting tour in 2011 to learn about this craft from photographers Joe McNally and David Hobby, creator of the Strobist movement. Other artists I am inspired by include Edward Hopper, Auguste Rodin, Luis Royo, and Storm Thorgerson. My favorite painting in the IU Art Museum is The Boatman by T.C. Steele.

I am a flaneur, paramedic, Army veteran, beer brewer, former IU student, husband, and father of two teenagers. I hope to someday pursue a degree in Arts Administration with a concentration in Art History.
