Current method:
- Photograph fliers on local kiosks.
- Instant upload to Picasa web album.
- Rename files by appending date of event ("20110726-").
- Sort files by filename in Picasa web organizer (same as event date sort, due to above).
- Select album and create collage option.
- Picasa desktop app opens.
- Photos can be resized, rotated, and moved around.
- Save collage as a JPG and sync to web album.
- Insert photo into Blogger page edit window.
- Copy link of original size file, then select X-Large size option.
- Replace automated link with URL of original size file (so original opens in new window).
I like the idea of a virtual kiosk, but I need a better tech solution.
Wishlist:
- Photos would auto-sort by event date (not date photo taken).
- Expired event fliers would auto-erase from the virtual kiosk.
- Clicking photo would zoom in on kiosk instead of opening new window (like Google maps).
- Use Google services (Blogger, Picasa, Google+ ... ) for all web functions.
